FTN : Krrish 3 has smashed all the previous box office records by a huge margin. The film collected 108.61 Crore in just four days. The daily breakdown is:
Friday ( Opening Day ) : 25.5 Crore
Saturday : 23 Crore
Sunday: ( Diwali ) 24.3 Crore
Monday : ( Holiday ) 35.9 Crore ( Including 1.2 Crore of dubbed versions )
Total : 108.61 Crore ( All collections includes dubbed versions )
Krrish 3 has performed extra ordinarily well at the Box Office. The film was released two days before diwali which is known as a dull period for the box office. The business was affected but still Krrish 3 managed to put big numbers and on Monday, Krrish 3 proved its potential. Below is the details of major records made by Krrish 3 in its first four days extended weekend:
- Highest Non-Holiday opening day by beating Dabangg 2 ( 21 Crore )
- Highest non-holiday opening weekend by beating Dabangg 2 ( 65 Crore )
- Highest Diwali Day collections by beating Jab Tak Hai Jaan ( 15 Crore )
- Highest Single day collections by beating Chennai Express ( 33.12 Crore )
- Second Fastest hundred crore after Chennai Express
The interesting thing is that Chennai Express made the record of highest single day collections on its opening day and Krrish 3 broke that record on its fourth day. Krrish 3 is released in 4100 screens. If the film was released on Monday, it must have crossed 40 crore mark.
Today is also holiday in many parts of the country. The occupancy is quite strong since morning and healthy figure is expected today. Something around 20 or even 20+ is also expected. However, the performance of Krrish 3 in the second weekend will decide if it can cross 200 crore mark or not.
