Hit Trailer, hit music and heavy doze of fine promotions, THE BOSS has arrived. Releasing on around 3200 screens all across India on a National holiday ( Wednesday ) for Eid-Ul-Azha, BOSS is all set to be Akshay Kumar's biggest opener.
The kind of hype BOSS created, it should have a 20+ opening day but this Eid is not as strong as Eid-ul-Fitr because the Muslim community is busy in performing Qurbani and also the Hindu community is busy preparing for Diwali. So despite of a National Holiday, the opening day numbers for BOSS will be below 20 as the morning occupancy was around 50% in multiplexes and 70% in Single Screens which is decent.
The reviews are good so far. Mostly reviews suggests that BOSS is a complete Masala Entertainer with balanced doze of Action, Humor, Romance and emotions. The film is expected to receive good public response from the single screens while mixed response is expected from multiplexes because of the genre.
Party All Night - Akshay Sonakshi
Overall, the first day collections of BOSS are expected to be 17-19 crore. If the evening and night shows did well, the film might touch 20 crore mark. BOSS is all set to beat Rowdy Rathore ( 15 Crore ) to become Akshay Kumar's biggest opener.
Save this page and visit tomorrow for the official collections which will be updated here.
UPDATE: BOSS has collected around 14.5 Crore ( Official ) on Wednesday. Failed to beat the opening day record of Rowdy Rathore. The first day collections are way below expectations and the only reason can be the India Australia ODI match. FTN News
